We arrived in Rīga just the day before the new year.
Rīga is Latvia's capital and officially founded in 1201.

Latvia has a more then 800 years old history, full of tragic events.
It has been the battle territory for Germans, Swedes, Polish and Russians.
After being under the Soviet Union since 1049, Latvia is finally free since 1991.
